It's pretty straightforward. You import the .kml file into Google Earth, a free download that's well worth having.

You can also download a gpx file to open in GE Pro on the desktop. Click the ”?” Next to download in Airdat for more. Not sure if they can be used with online version.

This gives a path with a player bar and time indicator.
