is it possible to fly straight ahead in a straight line without having to hold the throttle stick forward?
maybe even with a certain chosen power or speed?

I really liked the "tap to fly" option in the Mavic Air 1. I hope DJI adds it back the the MA2!! ??

If you want to see a full featured drone look at the Mavic Pro, weirdly DJI dropped a lot of features with the Mavic 2. For instance I have the DJI goggles for my Mavic 2 Zoom and I can’t get Smooth mode 60fps, or Fixed wing mode yet the Mavic Pro had all that

Yes BUT only when Litchi gets their software updated for the MA2. Litchi is a lot of fun to use to get a continuous, cinematic video. You should be able to use Waypoints in the Fly app for now. Great learning tools. Practice in a wide open area to start.

That wayponts function is at present tied to the hyperlapse mode and is only good for generating hyperlapse videos. So it will be of no use for what you want to do any way.
