Have not had opportunity for fly 2 years. Mavic 2 pro and Smart Controller. Please share how to update both for 2024. Will this satisfy Remote ID? Thank you for any

I thought the update process was automated once you chose to actually permit the update.
Personally I would update the drone via the relevant Assistant 2 on your computer and a USB connection, you would have to google the process for the smart controller.

RID support was added in aircraft firmware 01.00.0797.
