I'm on holiday in japan, can any one tell if I'm aloud to fly in tokyo?

DJI no fly zones is not always accurate in countries like Japan. Basically the entire Tokyo area is a no fly zone because of population.

Yeah, I remember reading somewhere that the entire Tokyo area is off-limits to drones, too.

Better to get out of Tokyo and visit some nice Japanese countryside if you want to fly a drone.

No, seriously, don't play the role of the "ugly American". I get embarrassed enough by the boorish behavior of some Americans when I go to Japan. Respect the local laws.

Tokyo is a vast area ranging from urban concentration and suburban sprawl, to farms, mountains, lakes, and open fields. I believe that the restricted areas are focused on the urban and suburban areas. There is an official DJI store in Shinjuku. They would know more.
