Flying in the CA smoke. How bad is this for the drone?

Other than your fpv will be limited I don’t see no issues. I would not
fly but in LOS.

I have drone with drawl. Not much to see but I may still buzz around if it’s ok to do? AQI is 130 here.
130? We have dropped below 200 for the first time in days. Salem, Oregon has an AQI of 555 as I write this. I feel like a prisoner in my own home. And no, I would not put my drone in the air in this crap.

This has been covered in a post on here somewhere.
No.. Wildfire smoke contains too much carbon and ash particals and in some cases chemicals (fire retardents).
None of those will do the drone any good, most likely only harm..

Today was the first day in several weeks I saw the sun set in central CA. I've been flying fixed wing but really have avoided using my MP because most of the skies are so bland. Some interesting hues around sunrise/sunset pics here and there but it just doesn't highlight landscape much.

Not to mention all the vaporized oils if pines/conifers are a large part of the fire
