I have a situation similar to the OP. In my area there’s a USFS helipad just off the state highway. The B4UFLY app says it’s “good to go, no advisories”, though it does show the helicopter symbol on the map. Other apps, like Airmap, do show the yellow warning circle with a 5 mile radius. Although I’ve never seen a helicopter flying in & out of there when passing by, I treat the area as a “no fly” zone, just to be extra cautious. It’s too bad, as there is some terrain nearby that would be interesting, including a rare open space in the forest, with some nice views of the surrounding terrain. :-\
The sectional indicates the heliport is there for emergency use.
