Was test flying my Mavic Pro with new strobes last night when a flight of (2) military choppers appeared a mile or so to the east. I immediately descended and landed, not knowing if my strobes were evident to them or not. Overreaction perhaps? But I noticed they were in the area longer than usual, circling the area where I live. Maybe they were checking out my aircraft lights? I never flew higher than about 100' AGL at the time. Don't know their capability but maybe they thought how cool the mini aircraft was and circled a bit before heading on? Word of warning...a single helicopter (military?)overflew the area very close (500' away, 400' AGL) a day or so ago. I was not flying the drone at the time. I always thought I was relatively safe where I live (within 5 mi of an airport) to test fly my Mavic. Wrong, there is always the possibility of a manned aircraft nearby. Stay alert!
