Hello all,
I’ve been a fan of your forum for many months and it has shown Me many useful things. Here’s one question I’m hoping someone more experienced can answer for me though, is it possible for two people
to fly two mavic 2s (a pro and a zoom) at the same time without causing interference with each other?
Any help would be appreciated.

The only real danger is that you get confused as to which one of the drones is your in sky but if your careful to avoid that your good to go.
We fly tandem all the time within about 15 ft of each other in the sky no problem on any of the DJI drones.

Yes, as the others have said you should have no problems. The Mavic 2 is using Occusync 2.0 which utilizes OFDM for video and FHSS for data. Both of these very robust transmission architectures that are inherently relatively immune to interference problems. In addition, they are packet based systems. If a data packet get corrupted it just gets re-transmitted.

The only concern I would have if you have a large group, or many other interference sources around, at some point the radios would get overwhelmed and start to have problems.

Enjoy and go fly.

myself and my flying partner ,don't have that issue as i have an orange skin on mine so they look different and we always fly at different altitudes to avoid flying into each other
one thing not to do is get to close and pass in front of each others controllers, as it can cause a signal break up for the person behind the other one ,we normally stand about 15 ft apart and tell each other what we are doing during take off or landing

I was just curious as to why you posted in the Premium Pilot area. Only a small portion of the total membership has access. You’ll get more responses if you post in one of the other sections.

A friend and I often fly our M2Ps together. Use caution, but you can get close enough for photos of each other’s bird... 2-4 feet. Be cautious, we separate after pics by climbing one and descending the other.
