I woke up early on Sunday morning and since weather was promising, I took a quick trip to forest nearby to do some fog pictures.
There was literally almost no fog around until I drove to the other end of the forest when suddenly everything become white.

I turned my sensors off and started to ascend through the fog when suddenly this appeared.

I made some shots and went for another location. There wasn't much fog already but some clouds were still drifting very low and morning sun started to appear from behind the clouds.

And finally the sun came out.

Excellent work!

This likely would have made great hyperlapse movies too.
thanks a lot. definitely agree about the hyperlapse. At the moment, conditions were changing rapidly so I only took couple quick ascent-descent videos and concentrated on stills.

But now, since I know how much I can get from random fog shooting (wasn't expecting much in a first place), this definitely wasn't my last try and autumn is coming so perhaps I could give it another spin this weekend.

Just beautiful. You're blessed to live in such a scenic area.
1 question though. What post production work did you do, as I don't expect these pics are not colour corrected and graded?

thanks a lot.
all of those were shot as digital negative AEB (5 exposure bracketed images) otherwise I wouldn't be able to get enough dynamic range. Later I merged those images using Adobe Lightroom and did some exposure and color corrections as the DNG is meant to be processed this way. Also some denoise was necessary since low light noise is Air's biggest downside, even if it's less frequent in bracketed images.

Late to the party, but gorgeous shots!
