Follow me mode didn't work due to weak signal warning

Was trying out the tracking mode while driving. Controller in my car and I got a message about "weak satellite signal" and it wouldn't let me go into that mode. I had 19 satellites showing on the controller. The only thing I think it could be was I was about 200m from high power lines and was trying to engage it while moving in the opposite direction from them. Could of this been the problem?

I think the follow me mode uses the gps in your phone or tablet as the target to follow. Maybe your phone wasn't getting good gps reception.

What phone and carrier are you using?
Known problem with iPhone 7 and 7+ on AT&T network.

I'm using the iPhone 7 Plus on Telus Network up here in British Columbia Canadainia

I've never had this feature work for me. It always says my phone's GPS signal is "weak".
