This is the wreck of Sabri Ç,a turkish boat that was used, a couple of years ago during the refugee crisis, to transfer people from Turkey to Greece. Imagine all those people and their dreams,packed inside a small boat and fighting the waves across the Aegean sea.
Now left to rust..

I noticed on the island of Zante that there was a ship left in the sandy beach and now this one , why are these ships left to rust, is it good for the fish industry. ??

I noticed on the island of Zante that there was a ship left in the sandy beach and now this one , why are these ships left to rust, is it good for the fish industry. ??

As far as I know,most of them are taken away and scrapped,but if it's difficult are left to rust.I have seen many that I didn't knew of, from photos posted in the Greek Mavic Group.
But I have no idea about how they impact the fish or the fishing industry.. :-/

Its just seems to me like the beaches are becoming like a junk yard , and the island of Zante started the trend . I hope there is something good about leaving the wrecks in place .
