I am an early tester.Or it come be once you upgrade it does something where you forever can't go back.
In the absence of knowledge, best to do nothing, play it safe, and see feedback from early testers
I just hope that when they say this will happen "next week", they don't mean "first thing on Monday", because on Monday I'm going to be out in the desert flying my Mavic.
How can i downgrade to 200?
Given the timing it seems that it is absolutely related to the June 1 change in China. If you look at the root cause of this, it is because too many people were flying close to airports in China. A cautionary tale for those on this site and others who flaunt the rules and then say that their actions will not cause harm to the rest of the community. Here is a case where the actions of a few have affected all of us across the globe. I think most of us have problems with some of the rules, but the way to tackle that is to work to get the rules changed, not just ignore them. I would not be surprised to see other countries force this kind of restriction as well.
One other question about this change. If the app loads restrictions based upon your home country, what happens when you take your drone to another country????

I am more positive on these new rules. As I see it (especially in places like China) if drone manufacturers dont 'auto-restrict drones' countries are quite likely to ban them (or simply license them beyond most peoples reach. (...)
The flaw is you will probably still need to log-in on the newly loaded app.
Well I happen to be going to China at the end of next week, so I guess I will find out. I assume the NFZ (if DJI is introducing geofencing) will apply to any drone wherever it comes from.

Obviously the US holds personal freedoms rather more sacrosanct than the much of the remains of the world but say restricting a drone from 'not' flying where it is 'not' supposed to fly is pretty much the equivalent of inventing a gun that wont allow you to shoot yourself in the foot.
