Formatting Micro SD card in the Smart Controller - Help?

I have just purchased a Smart Controller for my Mavic 2 but cannot work out how to format a micro SD card in the controller.
Can anyone help me?
I have downloaded and read through the SC manual but was not able to find anything on formatting a SD card.
I have also looked through the menus built in to the SC, again with no luck.
I’d appreciate if anyone can help.

My fallback would be to format the SD card in the M2 prior to installing in the SC.

It doesn't matter where you format the card.
Format it in your computer after copying the image files if that's convenient.

If it's like any other standard android device you should have "erase SD card" in android storage settings.

Hopefully you saw that Smart Controller Firmware: v01.00.1400 which was released on March 1, 2019, now “Added ability to format a microSD card. When the microSD card is inserted into the remote controller, users can format the microSD card in ‘Settings’.”

Yes. I saw this yesterday and downloaded the update.
