I found a firmware bug which is part of all published Goggles firmware versions, including the recent .1000 version.
I often wondered why the VPS altitude does not show up, even if my Mavic is less than maybe 2 meters above ground. So I tracked down this bug today.
I flew to a location which is about 10m higher than the homepoint and descended there to maybe one meter above ground by visual sight through the goggles. No VPS altitude was displayed in the goggles while it was correctly displayed by the GO4 app on my mobile device.
Further testing proofed that the goggles firmware will hide VPS altitude as soon as the barometric altitude exceeds 10 meters, which was the case at my remote location.
This is a bothersome bug as barometric altitude is quite useless in remote locations and the pilot would be interested especially into the VPS altitude
Have sent this description to DJI support and hope they will fix this soon.
