Not sure if this already widely known, but I found out today who provides DJI with mapping data.
It's HERE, the former NAVTEQ/Nokia mapping outfit. HERE was recently bought by a group of German carmakers (Daimler, BMW, Audi) and in January 2018 German Continental (known for tyres and other automotive stuff) and Bosch (Automotive) joined them.
They also provide maps to AMAZON and BAIDU, the Chinese search engine.
Shows that not everything in life can or should be done by Google, Apple, Microsoft.
