My question is about registration. I am registered under the “Exception for Recreational Flyers” on the FAA Drone Zone site... I now have my temporary part 107 certificate issued and waiting for the permanent one to be issued. When and how do I transfer the M2P I’m flying to the Part 107 section of their site?

Register any aircraft you intend to fly commercially, under the 107. Any aircraft you only fly for hobby can still use your old registration number. An aircraft registered for commercial work can also be flown for hobby. The 107 registration is just a second level of identification by linking the pilot/owner to a specific aircraft through it's serial number.

That’s what I was thinking... So, register it under 107, label it under 107 and follow the rules of however I’m flying (107 vs hobbyist). Most of the rules aren’t much different. Hopefully, we’ll see some simplification of the rules this year.

And, Welcome to the Forum! I know you fly an M2P but what kind of a Motor do you ride?

I’m a motorcycle officer in Mobile, AL... This is my last week. I’m leaving to start a career outside of law enforcement after 22 years of it. We’re in the middle of building a house in Lillian, AL on 40 acres of farmland. We’re moving closer to the water and beaches. My last ride is a 2020 FLHTP

Im a motor officer in Mobile, AL. After 22 years, this is my last week. I've taken a position in the private sector and giving it up so we can move closer to the beaches and do some more boating. My last bike is a 2020 FLHTP with a 114 engine, 2 stage exhaust and Reinhart pipes. 20200316_200257.jpg
