I just got my Gannet bait release delivered by Courier. I found lots of information on how to make the rig up but nothing on how the Mavic Pro controller must be set up to open and close the release? Any advice will help!

It looks like the unit uses the red lights on the legs of the Mavic Pro to trigger the release. You can set those up to turn off when video recording starts or set them under the control of the C1 or C2 button ... The manufacture's info says:
  • Is activated by the front LED lights of your drone which can easily be turned on and off using your C1 or C2 buttons on your drone’s remote. Alternatively, you can set your drone's camera that when you start recording that it automatically switches the lights off, stop the record and the lights are back on and the device is in its closed position,

Yep. Set the lights to be controlled with the C1 or C2switch. I also found that I had to add some black tape over the sensor where it slides onto the leg to keep ambient light out. I use mine for dropping balsa gliders and works great

Ahh - I remember balsa gliders and having to 'chuck' them into the air. Hoisting them up a few hundred ft under a Mavic would be awesome!

I usually drop them from around 100-150 feet. So great
