So i can proudly say in the last couple of months i started my passion for drones. I first purchased a dji phanthom 3 advanced with 2 batteries an the drone itself and alot of spare part's. I started flying and noticed I need more batteries. So not trying to over pay i bought an second drone on marketplace with 3 batteries a big hard case and a dji phanthom 3 standard with the camera broken off. I tried repairing it but it is missing the camera frame with the motherboard,🥲 And from what I learned on the internet there is 2 wifi cables connecting to it. And without them it won't even connect to my controller 😒 so my question to you guys is. Is there a way to connect the drone an to fly it without the camer gimbal system? Other wise I'll just put it in the case an use it for part's.

To clarify which 'motherboard' is missing from the P3 std ?

I would be VERY careful about considering the P3 std as parts for a P3 Adv.

It may well be that the ONLY interchangable part are the drone's shell, batteries and props and the shell I am not certain about. Ditto the landing legs.
As far as I remember there are two types of motor fitted to the P3 Adv and the main mother-board inside the drone was changed when the motor models were changed. I recollect you can not use motors with the 'wrong' type of motherboard.

I am pretty certain that the controllers are not interchangable between the P3 std and Adv.

As to wifi connectors I can't help, sorry.

Thank you my dear freind for such a fast reply. I know what you mean, but I'll just use it in my next build. I'm aware of the fact that you can't just simply start switching the part from P3 standard to P3 advanced. But my main question was can the drone fly without the gimbal frame and the motherboard sitting in it. There's one main gray riven cable connecting to it. And two cables one gray and the other one black for the wifi I think, and the transmission of the controller. Is there a way I can solder the antenna straight up to te main motherboard? Or is it to much programming missing from the other motherboard? And what if I just buy a different motherboard and use all of these part on a difrent build?

Don't know, sorry

With regards to soldering radio cables.
I would be surprised if they were NOT co-ax cables, meaning a central stranded metal core surrounded by an insulator, outside of which is a sheath of braided wire and a final outer sheath of insulator.
Given their small size I think soldering would be difficult and my recollection is that it is sometimes very difficult to get sold to 'take' to some of the wires.
That's as far as I can go but there is Phantompilots forum
where you perhaps stand a better chance of getting appropriate answers.
