Reporting as some users may be interested and I can see a discussion in another tread about such generics.
- Bought it with some fear but mostly out of curiosity less than 1 year ago from this source: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006783932455.html
- Capacity was I believe slightly lower comparing to the genuine stuff. Housing quality and fitting precision clearly substandard. Costed approximately half of the price of a genuine one.
- Used a few times only, kept properly stored (including SoC), found dead yesterday after trying to recharge it before flying next day.
- Failure symptoms: low residual voltage (<0.5V, inability to recharge above 2V, and the voltage dropping instantly below 1V when charging stopped.
- Housing partly welded (that's why the visible butchery)
- 3 cells with residual voltage, 1 completely flat - 0V, likely internal short-circuit.
- Note probably a thermistor (or similar) attached with the red wire. The placement was outside the battery pack. If this is really a temperature sensor then I found it strange to be mounted there.
