So I wanted to fly by the train construction site near my house, about a mile away from my house. I live in the blue zone of an international Airport. So I flew from my house a few days ago, and got the airport unlocked. It sent a number to my cellphone for unlocking. I also have wifi at my house, obviously. So i just flew enough to test that everything was working.
So I rode over to the train site where I had crashed two weeks ago. I connected everything, but then Fly said I was in an authorization zone. I knew that, but I thought it had already been unlocked? So it just waited forever trying to connect to the internet, which of course, there was none.
So I put everything away, and rode back to my house. I connected everything up, and because I now had internet I could unlock and fly.
So packed everything up, and rode far enough away so my wifi wouldn't reach. Hooked everything up, and I could fly. So then I went back to the construction site, and flew 4 batteries.
But I thought once you unlock an airport, it stays unlocked? Specially for only a few days.

Unlocks require internet access to download and a set Home Point to enable, because they are GPS based. Depending upon the unlock, you may have to re-enable them upon every reboot with internet access. The Avata 2 was infamous for this, until DJI removed GEO in the U.S.. You gad to physically hook your phone up to the Goggles after every reboot, if there was an unlock involved.

Another example of how dumb DJI is. I told them about my problem yesterday. This is what they emailed back.

" This is the DJI Flysafe Department. I apologize that our support team has limited knowledge of the unlocking issues and they could not provide a solution immediately, so your request is transferred to us. We are grateful to assist you with your concerns and really want to help further.

Please note that after DJI’s after-sales service, the Flight Controller serial number of the aircraft may change, which could cause your existing unlocking license to fail.

To resolve this issue, please provide the following details in your reply. We will assist you in transferring the unlocking license to the updated aircraft.

1) Flight Controller Serial Number of the new aircraft. Please provide a screenshot of the About page on the DJI APP in the reply.
2) The coordinates of your flight location.
3) Your DJI Account email. [email protected]

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. We are always here to help.

Thank you for choosing DJI.

Best regards,

So I have three flight controller serial numbers on Fly. One is my mini 3 pro, which I obviously wasn't flying. One is from the drone I crashed and obviously wasn't flying. So the only drone I could possibly be flying is my brand new replacement Mavic 3 Pro. Which already had that airport unlocked. So the problem is obviously with their software, and yet they're trying to pretend like it was a aberration that they had no control over.

Not sure what you are trying to say, other than that the unlock was unsuccessful and they have escalated your issue to the "relevant team." Wait patiently and cooperate with them to resolve your issue.
