Gesture control altitude

I like occasionally using the gesture control feature for a drone selfie, but I can't seem to get much height using the upward arm movement, usually only about 8-10 feet. Can I get it to go any higher? It seems that when I try raising my arm again, nothing happens. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? I don't want to fly a 400 feet with it, but would be nice to get up to 25-50 for a wide angle shot.

You need the MA some meters away from you to get it higher. Open your arms and let it fly back until it stops, then rise your arm to get it higer.
