Here are a couple old grain elevators in Buffalo NY. They were built in the early 1900's and provided grain to the entire world up until they were closed in the 1960's Concrete Central was the largest concrete structure in the US until the Hoover Dam was completed. It is a quarter of a mile long of concrete and is almost 200 ft tall. It has been said to be so strong that it could survive a blast equivalent to the bomb dropped on Hiroshima which is mind blowing and believable when you are standing in front of these things. These structures are absolutely massive and this video does not do either of them justice. I recorded with a Mavic Air 1 at 4k30fps and in sport mode.

Things like this make me realise just how big the US is - can you imagine even trying to get planning permission in the little old UK?!? Thx for sharing.
I'll tell something that's pretty wild, people come from around the world to see these things. One of the reasons they haven't demolished them is that it would cost way too much money.

General Mills is still here and in operation. It's funny because when the wind shifts easterly, I can smell them making Cheerios at my house which is close to 10 miles away. Lol.

Much better smell than the sour gas they burn off at the Refineries. Put up with that for years when the wind was blowing from the North. Thankfully the north wind wasn’t that often.
I really enjoyed the video Thumbswayup.
