Gimbal control on Wifi

I recently tried to fly my MP in an area with no phone reception. I could not enter the djigo4 app. So I tried to fly with wifi. I couldn't figure out how to control the gimbal in order to frame what I wanted to video. If you have no phone reception, are you limited to flying with wifi? How do you control the gimbal if you can't use your RC?

You can tilt the camera like this.

No. And you don't need phone reception to fly.

Make sure you're logged into DJI GO before heading out to fly if you know you'll be flying in a location where it's not possible to connect your mobile device to the Internet.
