Gimbal Cover Lens Filter as one?

I found this on ebay. A gimbal cover that is also a lens filter. ND4 or ND8. Anybody use these? Any thoughts?

Am I wrong or we can expect the edges of the captured image to be subject to more filter effect than the center due to the fact the filter is a spherical surface.

If you don't care about video quality that will be perfect.
That is a piece of plastic that not only will distort optics, but have horrible flaring problems because the material is so far away from the lens.

Your videos would look much better with no filter than with that thing on.
