Right, that little twitching isn't going to hurt anything. That small movement is just the motors vibrating to make the startup sound.

To be honest, I don't have a problem removing the sd card. Mine has a little ridge on the underside which allows me to get a finger nail under it and pull it out quite easily.
I think removing the card to download is preferable to unfolding the arms, removing the gimbal cover and powering up, but thats only my opinion.

Yeah, one has to power on in order for the USB Port (i.e., Drone) to be seen by my PC. Like the tape idea!

Mine has never been hot and have pulled it right after landing. I've even flown it in the summer in Texas.

Scotch tape doesn't have much adhesive and that's why I used it.

I turn mine on and unfold the front arms only. And I put a scotch tape on mines also [emoji1598]

This is one of the flaws I see in the Air. They should have designed it where it would be seen without having to power it up.
