Got mine in fro Best Buy yesterday. on my 2nd flight the gimbal stopped working. Admittedly I had a rough landing during my testing on the first flight.. but no crash. I tried everything reset, calibrate everything you could and nothing worked. It seems the gimbal is suspended on rubberbands and 4 small plastic clips. Are gimbal issues a common issue with the Mavic? To maintain the size I get what they did, but it does not seem as "durable" as my P4P. Unfortunately for me Best Buy is sold out again, so no reorders are happening right now.
They don;t seem obviously worse than the Phantom 3 which was more fully 'external' and vulnerable than P4.
The problem is how close they are to the ground so you don't need much of a hard landing or stone stuck up to bump it.
Which is why mine's been hand caught from day one.
People are having serious crashes and if the gimbal is not directly hit it will often still work.

It's weird that it landed hard. You can bring it down as fast as you want but it will stop a couple feet off ground and then land softly...
