Gimbal safety wire has a broken strand. Will it still work?

I have a soldering station. What temp do you set yours to?

CP this is my "go to" tip when desoldering the motor wires. Its about as wide as a pencil eraser and covers the whole motor wire solder joint.

Looks like a broken tip. I unfortunately do not have a tip that wide. I have a blunt tip, and a pencil point tip.
