Have you checked the settings? I have the mini and that has two options:
Follow - the camera will stay steady even when banking/turning
FPV - the camera will bank with the drone.

Daasmangi - had some similar problem where my gimbal would be fine, then drift off to a side with an angle. When I spun the M2P in a circle it squared back up but would immediately drift. Had to send it in for repair - gimbal issue...
