At first, my problem was that Go4 would not run on my phone (a OnePlus 11) after the Android 14 update. The same with my girlfriends Pixel. After some back and forth, I downloaded another version of Go4 from a link from a DJI rep on the DJI forum, that app version ran, but it would not connect to my Mavic 2 Pro drone. Now I uninstalled Go4, and I am trying to re-install it from the DJI Download Center and it says "Download Pending" forever. I have tried this on multiple occasions but same result. This is my process for the last 5 weeks or so. Any help is appreciated.

First off: uninstall any DJI flight app you have on your device. Then:

Browser search bar: APKMIRROR.
Site search bar: DJI GO.
Select the version of GO 4 you want (try *.*.54) and download it to your device. Open and install it.

Fingers crossed this sorts your problem out... but you might also have to do a factory reset with your phone/tablet and then follow the steps listed above - a pain in the nuts, but that's what worked for me.

I was able to download the app from the DJI download center but it doesn't connect to the aircraft.

I tried downloading that version recommended by Felix but it asks for a credit card and they all decline on that site, maybe because I'm in the Dominican Republic with US credit cards.

I'm striking out again everywhere. Guess I have to buy a cheap phone dedicated for drone use but they usually have bad screen nits where you barely see the screen in outdoor sunlight.

That's the first time I've heard of APKmirror asking for payment... I've used it numerous times with phone, tablet and PC (duckduck go browser) to download older versions of both DJI GO4 and DJI FLY and I've never come across this... I've not had this experience - that's why I suggested it as a source. If anything asks me for credit card details or payment for freeware apps: I dump it instantly. These apps are free.

Apkmirror.com never asks for payment. Here is a link to download DJI Go4.54 from apkmirror:

I sometimes like to fly my Air1 but my version of DJI GO 4 stopped working on my phone where it was working?
Now I can`t get the app working on anything I have. Except an old Huawei phone I had in my draw and don`t use that had the app on it..
Now it`s the only way I can fly my first drone Air1.

DJI GO 4 app works on two of my Samsung devices, but on the one that is the only sensible size to use (Tab S9) it does not. It opens but does not stay on the screen. Recently viewed apps shows it still running, but it will not display on the live screen.

I have tried version 4.3.62 (the latest, at the time of posting?) and the one suggested above - 4.3.54. Both exhibit the same behaviour. I'm beginning to wonder if DJI are "blocking" tabs of a certain size, to "encourage" sales of their own controllers? Should I try previous versions? Any help welcome.

OR: does anyone know of a device to suspend my 14.6" Tab S9 Ultra round my neck while hand-holding the DJI controller? :)

Further to this:
I've been to the DJI store and they said "DJI are in dispute with Google."
Is there anywhere I can find out what's really going on? It seems, yet again, consumers are being ripped off. I don't know if it's the USA government or Google or DJI's fault.

Go into the account settings in Google play and switch off 'play protect'. Had exactly this problem occur twice in three months, funnily enough straight after security updates. After switching off play protect: the app installs and behaves itself perfectly... touch wood...

Just be careful what apps you install afterwards.

I think it's down to Google being a pain in the arse about certain Chinese apps.

Thanks. This sounds useful, but the "Scan apps with Play Protect" toggle is greyed out. I've asked Gemini how to make it not greyed out without success. Any further ideas?
Also, I've just run Play Protect Scan and it has scanned the DJI Go 4 app and found it to be not harmful.

Update: Finally got it working. That is: DJI Go 4, v4.3.62 on both Tab S9 and Tab S9 Ultra.
  1. On Tab S9: my issue was that I had two users and I was trying to get the DJI app to work in the "second" user. (I could only turn off Play Protect in Google Play in the first user; but the app still wouldn't work in the second user.)
  2. On Tab S9 Ultra: either:
    1. the fact that I turned off Play Protect and/or;
    2. I set the "Landscape for portrait apps" (Android Settings > Advanced > Labs ..., but I had to use Full Screen becasue App Default showed the app window in portrait on the landscape view... go figure!
(I have turned Play Protect back on after the install and the app still works.)

So, it's taken months to fix and somebody owes me twenty five quid for the now redundant (and not great) Litchi app.
