Go4 Update v4.3.68 Released

DJI have just released Go4 v4.3.68 on the Apple iOS App Store.

Not much to go on: ‘Fixed certain issues and optimizes overall app quality’

Anyone tried this yet?

Why would you even want to consider it?
GO 4 has been stable for almost 4 years.
All this can do is break a perfectly good, sandboxed system!
If it ain't broke, don't go fixin' it!

That’s exactly my thought. That said, why would they bother to update a stable release after so long. It could simply be an OS compatibility update but without a release note, who knows.

I think that's the real ongoing problem for a lot of people... this ‘Fixed certain issues and optimized overall app quality’ nonsense.

DJI really needs to state exactly what the 'issue' was and what's been 'fixed'. Too much of this generic obfuscation going on.

Especially when an update could, potentially, result in the drone failing while in the air. They need to take more responsibility and fully disclose any changes.

There’s still a lot of Mavic 2Pro’s flying and not publishing firmware release notes won’t do DJI any favours in the current US situation.

That is more than likely the reason for the update. Apple forces you to keep your app updated to the current and next oldest release of iOS.

I was not aware of this. I have had Apple products for many years and update when I feel the need and ONLY after I’ve researched said update.

Apple forces developers to use the latest SDKs (current and -1) when submitting app updates. That has been their policy for years.

If an app hasn't been updated for a few years, they will force the developer to do an update. That slowly filters out apps that have been abandoned.

Are you an iOS developer or a user? The requirement for using the current or last previous SDK for app submission has been in place for years. Google has an equivalent rule for Android app store submissions.

That's the point I was making. Apple requires app developers to periodically release updates, even when there are no changes to how the app works.
