Goggles - Proximity sensor not working?

Has any of you (who has the goggles already) experienced issues with the proximity sensor? It does not turn off the screen for me at all. Maybe it only works in some special situations/usage or it has some delay?

Could it be ECO mode and only after a slight delay?

Just got mine today same thing does not shut off even after switching to eco mode on!!

My (new) RE goggles shut the screen down after 30 seconds (even if actively using/on my face).

Broken proximity sensor?
