Going to Buy IOS phone or Ipad Mini Question

I am an Android person, that said I love the iPad Pro 2018 10.5" because of it's brightness, the larger screen to see better and the processor is faster and there are no bottlenecks or jittery video.
I use a LifThor Sif XXL, (link is to the standard) a lanyard and a sunscreen. I like the LifThor Sif because it puts the display behind the RC and both are readily accessible and you don't have to move anything to see them both. The delivery speed is unbelievably fast.
If it floats your boat and does the job it's perfect, whatever it is.

If have seen people post that the DJI go app is getting way more demanding. Is there any evidence to support this?
or is it just being claimed by people with device trouble they cant figure out?
They are not adding many CPU hungry features in any of the update notes that I read in the last 4 or 5 versions.
I have not flown for a few weeks, sounds like there is a new update out since then?
