Gold stripe props - quieter?

I've just tried some ebay props with gold stripe that are supposed to be quieter and extend the flight time. It doesn't sound much different to me. Have I been had?

Ummmm, I think you’ve answered your own question!

I am not aware of low-noise props for the Air and none are listed on DJI's site for sale, so it looks like you have been had. Since the fate of your Air and all below it rely on the props, and since OEM props are less than $20 US for four, you should only use genuine props from a trusted dealer.

Another new scam. Someone's painting gold stripes on Air props and calling them low noise. Quite creative.

I thought that because they were available for the Mavic Pro, there's no reason why they shouldn't be available for the Air. They don't seem to make any difference so I'll return them and stick to the genuine noisy ones.
