Good unlocked phone for Mavic Air controller?

I tried my $30 FreedomPop Huawei Union Y538 phone and it works surprisingly well.

I have quickly figured out that I like using the controller and a phone form factor is very compact.

But need more space than the little Huawei has.

Looking for a dedicated phone I can use:

- Inexpensive unlocked Android phone
- Bright screen in direct sunlight
- Reasonable battery life

Any recommendations?
