Sorry to hear mate. It is that type of nightmare scenario that caused me to attach a tracking device to my drone. I use a Marco Polo. It allows tracking up to 2 miles.

Marco Polo is awesome!
I tested it in the mountains in Southern Russia and it worked great!

i have one nightmare too and sadly lost my drone before. i too use a tracking device now but it is a trackimo

Similar problem today. Message to switch to atti mode and froze. Couldn’t reconnect by switching off / on the rc . Fortunately I managed to grab it by switching off sensors. Then didn’t want to stop. Finally by lifting upward direction it stopped. I still can’t get it to roconnect though. Is there no emergency RTH setting. Normal didn’t work as did none of the controls. Spooky ****
