Hi everyone - I'm a licensed part 107 pilot for the University of Oklahoma. My typical missions are to inspect upper building exteriors and rooftops which cannot easily be accessed on campus. The bulk of campus is in Class D airspace - the University has a waiver for its campus pilots to fly in the airspace. My question is in regard to the facility map height restrictions.
The main part of campus is restricted to 100' max height. Several of our buildings exceed 100'. Can I fly over these buildings if I stay within 100' of the building, similarly to the 400' extension that surrounds structures not in controlled airspace?
Thanks - Larry
