Pictures tell the story. This is what I used for R/C airplanes back in the 80's. I taught myself how to fly back then, without instructor or buddy system, so it was some "white knuckle" learning curve! The carrier disassembles (without tools) to fit in backpack, will hold the remote and iPad mini securely, and alleviates the awkward turning on quad with one hand, while holding and turning on the remote and display with the other (without putting anything on the ground). Of course, it also makes hand launch and recovery much easier! The only mod was removing the spring loaded hook that originally secured the transmitter's carrying handle, and replacing with "eye hook" to secure the remote to top portion.
