I think this issue fixed itself, all the people with this problem no longer have drones...

That is correct, move the switch on the right side of the controller forward to sports mode and all other modes will be cancelled.

Make sure to have multiple flight modes enabled to switch into sports mode. I assume this will be the case if attempting to use sport mode to cancel an autonomous mission.

The reservoir is not for cooling. It's what we call a retention lake
