Went out a few nights ago for a first/simple flight at Fort Niobrara NWR which is only 5 minutes from our place. It was kind of dreary and actually started to rain a bit just as I got to the bison. It’s a 19,131 acre reserve with 350 to 400 head of buffalo, lots of elk, deer and a large prairie dog town. The scenic Niobrara River flows through there and has a waterfall. I’ll have to get some footage of that as well. The bison in the video were over a ¼ mile away. Started recording when I got close. The drone was getting hard to see naked eye. Never used video software either so this is all new, fun & exciting. Sandhills & Nebraska in general is more than just a 'fly-over' state. Yeah, this place in video ain't much to look at but there weren't any things to run into. Wanted to start slow. Thanks John.
