Do you see a professional, semi-professional or even amateur photographer stick a piece of Chinese tempered or gorilla glass to the front of any of their lenses? I am no pro and do not care overly about the pixel-peep result of my footage but I will certainly not knowingly add to its degradation with a bit of cheap Chinese glass to simply protect the lens when I know for and extra $10 I can get something that is designed with proper optics to actually enhance the image. This doesn't answer your question but I have one similar to that here and I'm wondering the same thing.. I'm concerned about degrading the image quality but I've seen videos of people with broken lens that don't actually impact the quality too much..
My TACO-RC filters arrived so no need for the cheap crap..![]()
Looking at my Mavic looks like it has a little tab with protective plastic on the back of the gimbal. Is that suppose to be removed?
