HD Transmission Vs Standard Transmission - ipad mini

I'm using my mp2 pro with a nexus 7, samsung galaxy tab S, asus zenpad 8. All these tablets when using the HD transmission feature (1080p) vs std (720p I assume) lag and the app tells me the processor is too old.

Thinking about getting a ipad mini 4, can that handle the hd transmission to the display when flying?
