For what it's worth....
Last week, two Life Flight helicopters landed in a small field I had been using to "range test" my Mavic Air. I wasn't in the air at the time, but it really made me reflect on flying outside my line of sight.
Today, I'm getting ready to go fly, walk outside and I hear another low hovering helicopter. Sure enough, they're hovering maybe 150'-200' looking for something. This went on for about an hour or so. I put my stuff away and went to watch wondering what's going on.
Turns out there was a bear roaming the neighborhood and it ran up a tree!
Just something to think about/keep in mind if you fly beyond line of sight.
Also, Airmap is usually really quick to update First Responder activity in an area. For some reason, this wasn't showing up on the map. I reached out to Airmap and they promptly responded and explained to me how their app works to report First Responder activity. Don't rely on an app to be accurate. B4UFly, Airmap, and UAV Forecast all said safe to fly. Common sense said heck no!
Fly Safe!
