I do a lot of Kayaking on area lakes and the Mavic look compact enough to take along.

I love my Mavic, but in your neighborhood is Aquacopters.com, for a truly waterproof drone, I have taken mine kayaking, problem is that the remotes are not waterproof. Just an opinion.
