Hello from Rugby UK

welcome to the forum, well first thing to do is read the online manual, then find a nice quiet field with no one around and practice, practice ,practice ,low and slow till you get familiar with the controls there are many good flying tips vids on the web and they can give you a good idea of what you need to know, but really the only real way to become familiar with how the drone responds to the RC is to fly, before you take off check the surroundings for people or obstacles, and also check for wind strength and direction, and make sure you dont take off untill you have a good sat lock, and you hear the message the home point has been recorded please check it on the map good luck

Welcome to our Forum, from Hauptmann in Texas USA!

You'll find that flying your Mavic Pro or any DJI quad is so easy. They practically fly themselves. This can lead to overconfidence.
Read the manual, and be conservative at first. Practice using “Find My Drone”. Chances are you will crash and perhaps lose your bird. Don't wait until that happens to learn how to recover a lost drone.

Lots of good stuff to shoot throughout the UK. Whenever you need help, there are over 100,000 of us from around the world to assist you as you gain experience and grow as a pilot and photographer. You might consider hacking the FCC mode to increase signal strength.

Glad to have you as a member!
