Hello from San Jose California!

Hey all! Just got my Mavic Mini today and took it out for a first flight. Things went very well, this little thing is amazing!

The Mini is my first DJI but not my first drone by a long shot. I've been flying since 2014, mostly race and freestyle drones running Cleanflight and Betaflight but I've also built some AP drones running arducopter for carrying GoPros and slightly larger cameras. I was attracted to the Mini because of its portability and how discrete it is. I always get attention when flying one of my bigger AP copters, you really can't miss them in the air, which is fine, but sometimes you just want to fly in peace. Also, taking them on a hike is, problematic...the Mini will solve all of that!

Welcome!! I lived out there for almost 2 decades in the San Jose area (San Jose, Sunnyvale, Mtn. View, Pleasanton, Oakland, Tracy..)
