I have had the Mavic Air combo since 2018 as my first drone and found it brilliant for video/photography and general portability when out and about.
I have just got the Mavic Air 2 combo and going out for first real flight tomorrow, looking forward to the extra flight time.
Only spotted this forum yesterday wish I had spotted it when I got my first Mavic Air

Welcome to the forum! :)

Welcome. I'm brand new too.

Any chance you live near the Towneley Estate? I have some ancestry ties to that family as a couple of Towneley brothers moved to America in the early 1700's. Would be interesting to see some vid footage of that location, though I am not familiar with any legal restrictions in your Country.

Welcome to the forum. I also fly an MA and the MA2 and have many fun flights. You will find all sorts of support and assistance here. We look forward to seeing your view of the world.

Welcome from Chicago the Windy City, Only been flying for 3 years, and still working on taking the 107 test, no hurry. Since you are new to the forum, would like to invite you to look at Mavic Help and Mavic tips. Tips on Top accessories, strobes, how to prevent flyaway, flight log viewer, to many to list.
Its worth your while to check out both of those. Let your fingers do the walking, enjoy the good pilot association here from around the world. Taking in the knowledge will help to be a better safer pilot. Always say, knowledge is power, only when making correct decisions when you apply the knowledge. Fly safe, Happy Hovering, Have Fun.

Hello there, yes I do live within 3 miles of Townley.Hall as it is now called. There are restrictions but I did manage to fly quite near to it in 2018 as I flew my Mavic air for the first time and took some photos and video before being surrounded by a posse of park rangers...ha ha.
I will look through my stuff, find them and post you a couple of images. I did a short video so I will try to find that and re-render it down from 4K 30fps to allow me to post it on here.

Welcome to the forum Claretcass

Check out the CAA rulings for the distance regulations if you have not already done it. It might save you a lot of aggro.

However, rules are being 'modified' later on in the year - AGAIN - so keep your eye out for the change.

Happy flying
