Help- DLOG files show as MP4?

I have been shooting DLOG as I want to be able to recover shadows etc in editing.

There is a file I want to edit but when I looked for it on my card…it was only listed as an MP4 even tho I shot DLOG.

How do I get the DLOG file to edit?

Do I need to change my drone settings for it to actually make a DLOG file??

That's normal, it's still an MP4 regardless of the color choice, the colors are simply encoded differently inside.

Oo thanks. What are the best apps for recovering shadows etc from these files? Will Apple Photos due? Davinci? Affinity?

Also, is there a way to extract a frame as a still photo and recover shadows from that one frame as a still photo?

Davinci resolve yes, don't know if Apple Photos or Affinity can handle video. In resolve you'd grade your clip, then you can go anywhere in the timeline and export a still if you want.
