The error is that after about 10 minutes of flying I got a message that the drone is auto landed by its self from 60 meters hight but I interrupted at the red cross

The weather was 4 degrees and a littel hazy

But it came repeatedly with it maybe up to 10 times

Could it be a periodic error due to the weather or what believe in.
Should I try to fly again one day when the weather is clear?
I fly with a smart controller

I have attached my fly log for the day

Landings occur due to a number of reasons ...

-Holding the throttle stick down for more than 3sec when the VPS sensors measure something equal or closer the AC than 0,5m.

-RTH is commanded & the AC is closer than 20m from the recorded HP & "at current altitude option" is disabled.

-When critical low battery landing (height dependent) is initiated. (Forced landing)

-When you commands it through the app.

-When the AC have entered a NFZ. (Forced landing)

-When any of the battery cells goes below 3V. (Forced landing)

-When the AC is in ATTI mode & looses the RC connection.

But when checking off your attached log it doesn't show any of the above reasons for the 8 initiated landings ... The cell voltage was good, the VPS height last measured when it had coverage was well above 0,5m, you didn't hold the throttle down, you weren't in ATTI mode, you had RC connection, no NFZ nearby, good battery percentage & no RTH was commanded.

Furthermore the signal "General:flightAction" which usually shows the reasons for the commands ... show Unknown?

The log event stream don't give any reason either ... just consequences coming from the landing attempts.

A bit of a mystery here ... but I react on one other thing though. You were definitely flying in prop icing weather ...

Moist was clearly seen in the air, it was below freezing temp & the dew point temp was right there too ... Maybe that can have something to do with this ..?

Perhaps the mobile device .DAT log can give some more info ... the correct one for this flight ends with FLY051.DAT Read up here on how to retrieve (read section 3.) --> Mavic Flight Log Retrieval and Analysis Guide post it then in a new post here.

Hello "Slup"
Thank you very much for the help and info you have given me
I found the "dat" but its too big to upload here 11.62mb
I is here on the link:

Excited about what it says

I come from Denmark and my English is not the best
Hope you understand.

Unfortunately no clear reason for the landings can be seen in the DAT log either ...

A few indicatives can be picket out that can support that this had to do with the weather you flew in though (high risk for prop icing)

Below charts are zoomed out so the trend more than the values can be seen ...

First the current draw from the battery (Red) that are constantly increasing ... even though you only flew around in shorter bursts ( to position the AC for taking photos) symbolized by the heading speed (Green).

The thin blue stripes within the red frame is the landings (8 in total) ... the first occurs at 658sec into the flight.

(Click on all charts below to make them larger)

If we then look at the motor rpm's (all 4 black to see the trend) ... the command percentage for the motors (all 4 green) & the motor currant draw (all 4 blue) ...

We see that the motor rpm's mainly are constant ... but both the current & command percentage slowly increases over time & peaks where the landings occur.

Checking off the moments when the landings happens in the DAT log event stream don't give much ... it mainly just confirming that the AC starts to land & you aborts it ...

So in the end it isn't much solid to go on ... but what's found is behaviors usually seen in prop icing cases.

Still think that this was the reason ... my advise is that you try to fly in warmer weather or at least, if the temps are below freezing, that you do it without visible moist in the air (a dew point far away from the actual temp) & see if this repeat itself.

I noticed that the eventLog stream has these entries each and every time an uncommanded landing is initiated.

657.206 : 35000 [L-N_MIS]Exit mis 3. New mis 11
657.206 : 35000 [L-N_MIS]Switch new mis 11 req 14 from mis 3 req 2

Is it possible that Mission #11 is to land?

Can be, but in that case why does the FC switch ?

Can it possibly help to re install firmware again on the drone and smart controller?
Tomorrow it will be 6 degrees here in Denmark so it can probably not happen anything to try again ?

If this have something to do with icing ... reinstalling the FW won't help. Carefully test if the landings are re-appearing when flying in better conditions.

We have only had this issue one time during Blizzard conditions , one thing to note was that the snow was extremely heavy and there was icing on the Props but never a warning other than it wanting to land while at 75 ft.

We consistently ignored the warning cancelling the Landing.

I have to agree no amount of installing and reinstalling is going to help.

Hi there
Thanks for the help
I have reinstalled the firmware on the drone and controller
But I think I throw DJI support an email with the same files as there is still a guarantee on the drone and I still have an active dji care refresh
So I give them just a few days to respond to it before I take off with the drone
Thank you again for your help
I write here under the answer I get back from them and otherwise how it goes with the flight next time

A few weeks ago I flew my Mavic 2 pro on a foggy morning and the same thing you describe happened. The drone kept insisting that it had to land immediately and I kept using the left stick to make it go back up while using the right stick to bring it closer and closer to the landing pad. It finally won and landed in the snow about 2 meters from the landing pad. No harm, as I quickly picked it up and wiped it dry. I live in a very low humidity area and this was the only time I tried to fly on a cold morning (about 28 degrees F) with fog.

I had the same thing happen to me with my MP2. The temp was 0 centigrade and it was drizzling and foggy. I was about 8 m high and flying slowly over snow. I was setting up for some photos and slowly changing my altitude and got the announcement LANDING 3 times in succession. I attribute it to the downward sensors thinking I was close to the ground. I checked out the bird the following day in the sun and everything was fine. In hindsight I think if I turned off the bottom sensors it wouldn’t have given me those warnings.

One thing to be noted is that the Air 2 has never tried to Auto Land and we have flown it thru some nasty weather as we have with the Mavic 2 but I think this was an update that made the Mavic 2 to sensitive and needs a fix.
