Help on Mavic Mini 2 for friend

Hi Mavic Community,
I would appreciate any help. I am trying to help out a friend with there Mavic Mini 2 drone, not powering on.
Battery is fully charged and plug into drone. Order of operations, cell phone is connected to controller, not in the app yet. 2. power on controller, then open app. next step with drone and battery fully connected. pressing the battery once white led lights come on drone then turn off and then a press and holding the power button, the white leds come back on and then turn off. Drone does not turn on or make any of it's usual start up sounds. Any help wpuld be appreciate. Thank you

It sounds like there is too big a delay between press 1 and press and hold.

power on procedure. just don't do it like this guy with the gimbal cover on.

Thanks that is what I was thinking they called me on the phone asking for help, made it a slight challenge to figure out exactly what the issue was.
