Isn't the range over 4 miles? How is this a long distance test?

Looks like you need to adjust your gimbal so the horizon is level. Msinger posted a link to this YouTube video: DJI Mavic Pro Gimbal Calibration (Quick Tilted Horizon Fix!) that explains how to do it easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy. His MavicHelp site has all kind of info ranging from great to indispensable.

I tried mine and stock it went to 3.83 miles at under 400' before I had to turn back due to battery - landed at 18%. Connection was still strong at that distance - better than my P4 and about as good as my P3P was originally with a windsurfer (it went just over 4 miles landing at 20%).

If I had a day with no wind I'd guess 4.3 miles is doable with the Mavic.

Kinda like doing a top speed test on a Ferrari and going 100 mph. Cool but it will do twice that.
